Being healthy

So a customer of mine who I haven't seen in a few months came back into the VIP theater. She looked like she had lost some weight, but as many of you know it's hard to say something like that just in case nothing has happened. Everyone likes to hear that they look good, but it's awkward to ask about someone's weight in either a positive or negative weight. She started talking about how she's lost 25 pounds in 2 months which is very good and typically a balanced amount for people who are trying to lose weight by eating healthy and exercising. She said that she has been on this better body system called Yoli. It's fairly new and not very popular. She mentioned that you don't have to exercise and you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. Now as she was saying this, I was thinking what many of you may be thinking right now...."There's no way you can eat whatever you want and not exercise and still lose the weight!" I figured it was a scam that she had gotten entangled in, with the exception of her losing weight. So I asked her a few more questions. I really wanted to know about this product to see if I could spot any discrepancies. She came over to my house on the 12th of February and showed me all the product and the video that went with it. Now, once again, I know most of you may be thinking that this must be a trick and that there is no way to lose weight and eat what you want and you're right.....to an extent. So with this system you are on a protein diet most days. This system helps you convert your body's way of burning energy from straight carbs to burning fat. I've now been doing it for two weeks and I've got to say I'm pretty excited. The products you have to take don't taste bad at all (with the exception of the energy pills which I know for next time I'll get the drink to drink). Over the past two weeks I've lost 10 pounds and she 4 inches off my arms, stomach, and thighs. Now for some of you that might not seem like a big deal, but for someone who has been trying to lose weight by doing weight watchers and having no luck, this is pretty awesome. I think that I can tell a difference in my body and my mom has commented on me looking like I've lost weight. I just didn't want to broadcast to everyone that I was on a "diet" if this one also didn't work. But I'm changing and I'm losing weight and I'm feeling great. The supplements you take help reduce the acidity in your body and help you to stay more alert and "present" during the day. Anyway so I've included the night before I started pictures and pictures that I took at one week and then pictures I took today. Hopefully you can see the change that I can see when I look in the mirror every day. Maybe it's just me gaining confidence in myself too and it's not as big of a deal as I'm making it, but I do know that it is working for me and that I'm becoming happier with my self image and to me that's what matters. :)

Update!

So it's been about a month and I just wanted to give everyone an update that I'm doing well and meeting my goals so far!

I have taken the Praxistest for the state and passed two of the four subjects. I have turned in my application for the teaching program. I have a group interview set up for March 8th so that I can get into the program. I have been eating healthy and trying to be as happy as I can.

The one goal I haven't made any progress on is religion. I know the church is true, but I can't seem to get myself to the place of following the teachings. I'm trying to figure out why or what may be causing my lack of motivation, but haven't figured that out yet. My cousin Iris is getting baptized on March 2, 2013 and that will be a good experience for me to attend and to see if I can find the answers there.

Choosing to be happy isn't always easy, as many of you know, but I'm doing better at it. I'm not letting silly, petty things trouble me as much as they used to. I need to be happy for me and learn to have a say in my life and do the things I want to do.

Don't be afraid to stick up for yourself and pursue the goals that you want for yourself. It will make you happier in the long run and it will help you see the bigger picture of life. Once you figure out who you are, you can begin to help those around you.
