The last time I wrote something for this blog was 4 years ago! That's a long time. I will let you know that I'm almost the same quirky girl you've read about. I'll let you know what some of the changes are in just a minute. If you've now gotten to the point where you're bored reading this, please feel free to exit out of the page (there's no need to torture yourself more).
Anyway, I was reading over my last blog entry written back in 2013 about resolutions/goals for that year. I even reflected on how well I did and didn't do. Then I made some new ones for 2014. Just to remind you they were:
1. Study my scriptures every day
2. Plan a budget and keep to it
3. Try to get at least 15-30 minutes of exercise in every day
4. Get all A's in my next semester's classes
5. Build my self-confidence
Well, I can tell you in 2017 how well I've done with those so far, three years later...... I still stink at studying/reading my scriptures every day. I'm working on it. It's silly that I can't get myself to commit to reading them because I love to read! Now that I have a "real job" I have been so much better at budgeting! I finally even have money in a savings account. I still don't exercise like I should/could, but I do eat healthier which in the long run is usually half of the problem to being healthy. I did get all A's in my remaining semesters in school, which boosted my GPA and made me feel awesome!! Now, as for the last goal/resolution, I'm definitely not the same girl I was back in 2014. For one I'm 3 years older, haha. I do have more self-confidence and I'm finding that as I keep getting older, I'm relying more on the fact that I'm pretty awesome and I know what I want out of life. Now am I so great that I don't still struggle on days with my self-confidence? No, I wish I could say that I'm full of myself in a good way, but there are days where I still struggle and will continue to struggle and that's okay because I'm human.
So my roommate Morgan and I were putting together part of a puzzle last night (it's okay, we're lame. We've come to accept that). Morgan said she doesn't do resolutions, but New Year's wishes and I thought that was pretty cool. We discussed our wishes (let's be honest, we're both single ladies and marriage is the obvious one, but it was not discussed). Anyway, I really liked thinking of them as wishes instead of resolutions and things that had to change. Well that's enough for this post, but there will be more, don't you worry.
